I live in the Washington, DC area and I am looking to buy a SAAB 9-5 Wagon. After a little investigation, I found out that my local dealer wants to charge me $3000 over their invoice from the sale. The $ 3000 comes from the manufacturer rebates (not passed on to me), dealler holdbacks (offered by SAAB USA) and their own markup. I want my dealer to make some margin on the deal, but I thought $400 - $600 was more common practice. Am I realistic and fair ? Pierre pierrenopsaminc.com
