Yes, as Ken says, the "chisel" method works really well. I too took my car to Jiffy Lube only to find out that the person trying to remove the drain plug was using the wrong size wrench because they had misplaced their 14mm. I ended up with a round bolt. Make sure you have bought a replacement before chiseling for you will not be able to reuse the plug.
