Subject: Re: rough idle -- 90 900 SPG

Yeah I was thinking just that last night about this mechanic. After looking in my Bentley manual, I'm almost positive that has to be the Automatic Idle Control Valve (AIC). After all, how can it be the throttle body if the throttle is closed? Anyways, this asswipe being a Saab-only mechanic probably knows it's the AIC valve and just wants to milk 2 hours labor before he slaps on a new AIC.... BTW, does anyone know if when cleaning the throttle body I can just disconnect one side and spray in a heaping of carbeurator cleaner? Or do I need to completely dismantle the throttle body to get it clean? jsweetnopsamneering.ucsb.edu On Mon, 16 Aug 1999 10:56:02 -0400, "Eric Law" <elawxnospamxnopsamecsxnospamx.com> wrote: >Also, not to sound too negative, but I'd think about looking for another >mechanic.
