New V6 (broken timing belt at 120k km) CDN$7200 But you know what? I still LOVE the car... No other "major" problems. Lots of creaks and groans that come and go with hot/cold weather (but are now easily forgotten with the $3000 stereo upgrade...), some exterior trim pieces could fit better, my clutch has excessive travel (that I'll be fixing tonight as per the TSB). Just got back from camping and HAD to take a photo of the pile of stuff that came out of that car - INCREDIBLE! I've had 6 (SIX) full size doors in the back coming home from Home Depot. In your trunk (or dreams) BMW - HA!! Wuhoo!! New rotors at 120k km; 3rd set of pads on the front, 2nd on the rear at the same time (DIY job - under an hour assuming no rusty retaning bolt on rotor...) Under warranty, had lower control arms replaced. Bushings went and the arms were digging into the chassis. I think this was a common problem, but maybe only on the V6. New shocks all around. Not absolutely necessary in the back, but I got a good deal so did all 4. Rears were easy, shop installed the fronts. But I still LOVE the car. Cheers; enjoy!
