If the car vibrates mostly on acceleration you may have worn drivers in one or both drive axles. This tripod type joint may be swapped side to side to take advantage of the 'unworn' side of the forks but most people opt for replacement or rebuild. If you get the vibration at times when you are not putting the drive train under torque, i.e.: at coast, you may have a balancing issue or tires which are out of round. I had the driver issue on my 88 900T and rebuilt them with with great results, on my 98 900SET I had 'out of round' tires (per Michelin) and they prorated replacements which solved the problem.
