Hello! In the process of getting ready for a trip to Memphis, I was having my '88 900T given a once-over. The mechanic noticed that the front right CV axle had a torn boot...there was grease all over the wheel. None of the local mechanics have a new CV axle, and Gibson Motor Co. couldn't see me in time. I was wondering if anyone has any info about this problem. Would it be a good idea to try to drive to Memphis (about 6 hours) and get it fixed there? Are there any good Saab shops in Memphis? I have the option to take a different car down, an old Mercury, but I just so much more love driving my Saab ;) I have no idea how long I've been driving on this bad axle. -Brendan Dunn bdunnnopsam.edu
