Sounds like you got an aftermarket exhaust put on at one of them VIP Centers or Pep Boys. That's what happened to me when I let VIP due mine. Not only that but they ruined a pipe by cutting it shorter to put their stuff on. If this is the case the only fix is go get the right parts or live with it until it wears out and then get the right parts (and have it installed by a Saab guy).
