I'm planning to purchase my first Saab, and just started looking. I need one that is very reliable and within my price range which would at the upper end be about $7,000 max. I do like a car with luxury features (the more the better, but I can't afford to put a lot of money into it after I buy it other than normal maintenance). Today I found a 1992 900S 4dr, 16 valve, 68,500 miles, for $6,500 which seems a good price from what I've read. The car was in an accident, and is a salvage that was repaired by the guy selling the car (it's a private party sale). He says it had front grill damage ... nothing structural. If he hadn't told me, I wouldn't be able to tell; it's in good condition inside and out. I would have the car checked by a mechanic before buying. Any comments, advice appreciated. I'm not sold that it has to be this model, this year, etc. If there are better years/models in my price range you would suggest, it would help me to narrow my searching. Thanks!
