The recall on the +1994 models was about a cover for the ecu. On some (a few) of those 9000's the ECU was getting wet and therefore it was rusting. Some of the airbags wouldn't function anymore (but I didn't here a thing about self-ignition). The problem did not happen with the older 9000's None of our 9000's had the problem but both were called in. After a brief check they were cleared.
