I've had three Saabs and never even bothered with snow tires. One year it was bad and I put studded snowies on the front. I also owned a SUV and I hated it. It handled terribly and was just too top heavy regardless of the 4wd (which I only used a few times) I was so happy to get rid of it and go into a Saab.
