You may want to check out Auto Parts International. They are in Odenton, MD near Ft. Meade, and will move by Oct. 4th to Elkridge on Washington Blvd, about 1.3 miles north of Rt. 100. They have been my independent for almost 2 years. Call (410) 551-1400. The number will transfer automatically on 9/30/99, according to the notice I got in the mail. As for your brakes. I just replaced the pads and rotors on my 87 9000S. The pads and rotors cost $126.94 from AutoZone. My Saabtech friend showed me how to do them. They are not that hard. I replaced the A/C compressor on my 87 9000S last year. I got my rebuilt compressor from Impex Distributors, 1-800-736-3550, for about $300. The installation and checking the system cost another $400. If you need more info email me.
