It appears to be coming from the rear of the engine (front of car)---a seal? Trans? Not on the top, somewhere between the manifold and the pan--- so it is all blocked by the 'cowl' around the fan--we either pull all that stuff in front of the motor to see it better or wait. It is losing about a quart every 3-4K so we'll wait and see for now! The real seals were replaced in the spring. No on a clue on the water loss though. I appears to be combined with the oil (as it appears on the block or the ground) but I have only lost about 1/2 of the overflow in a few thousand miles. At least the pump looks pretty good---could be related to a seal/gasket above? No water 'in' the actual oil in the system, though. Yep, I need CV replaced (checking the paperwork, the previous owner only replaced the boot!) so I'm going with both shafts out and wrap it all up in one visit. So far so good---but oil is kinda buggin' me. I've never had an oil leak in drivin' for 25 years+.
