When I got my new 9-5 I was dissapointed with the engine as it was half a sleep and not at all like the demo car I drove before ordering mine. It all changed after the break in period as it suddenly woke up and provided much more power than before. The explanation can be found in the Trionic system. The Trionic is an adaptive system and will adapt to the engine, fuel, driver, et.al. One of the thing it does is to adjust the turbo during full throttle accelerations when the rpm passes through a certain rpm interval. As I didn't do any full throttle accelerations until well after the break in period it is likely that the adaption was still at some pessimistic value set at the factory ... -- Goran Larsson hoh AT approve DOT se I was an atheist, http://home DOT swipnet DOT se/hoh/ until I found out I was God.
