Subject: Brake Problems

Need help with this one. My 96 900SET has started acting strange again! Anyway, tonight the brakes have started acting up. Anyway, what's happening is that suddenly I have to almost push the brakes to the floor to get the car to stop... in fact to even get it to slow properly. I've got about a half and inch travel from "floored" to the point at which the car starts to creep. That's a lot of push to get the damned thing to stop! AFAIK the pads are fine... the wheels were recently removed to have the axle bearings greased and so the pads were apparently okay at the time. Besides, this has been REALLY sudden... like it was fine before dinner and suddenly after dinner it's playing silly buggers. Tried topping off the brake fluid as it was a smidgen low... but not by much. Any input GREATLY appreciate ASAP... I'm probably going to be driving quite a bit over the weekend and don't really want the front end of my Saab to come in contact with another vehicle! Thanks in advance! -- Gavin Haslett thumper_svxnopsamo.com http://home.earthlink.net/~hackrat "Ahhhh... Mountain Dew... nectar of the geeks!"
