Hello, I just bought my 1988 900s yesterday, its high mileage and I got a = good deal on it. The car has a few thing I need to get sorted, if anyone = has any good info on how to resolve the following issues, I would be = very greatful. 1.) Ignition key wont go into the ignition barrel very easy. I am = having difficulty getting the starter to turn .. I have to fiddle with = it for a few minutes. The key dosent want to turn into lock position = either (reverse gear enabled). The key seams to be ok in Park position = and pre-start position .. engine warning lights and buzzer comes on .. = but key just wont go any further to start engine. 2.) Dash illumination not working .. nothing at all .. have adjusted = rheostat, but still nothing ?. 3.) Passive seatbelts are stuck in on locked position, they do not = retract. 4.) Driver side windshield wiper stuck in 12 o'clock position and = wipes too far over. ? 5.) Gears very sloppy and hard to find .. no grinding or anything .. = just sloppy shift lever. 6.) Engine is idleing at 1200 rpm at idle. Apart from these few problems the car is in good shape. The ignition = key is the big problem as it is leaving me potentially stranded in = places.
