Subject: Re: Blower Fan 9000t

Regardless of vintage, one gets to it from under the hood. Early cars (pre-'90) are worse than later ones, but none are 'fun'. Early cars: Remove: Hood, windshield wiper system, front bulkhead (referred to in manuals as 'false firewall', rear engine mount bolt/tip engine forward, remove coolant lines from heater core (there's a quick release for that), aircon condenser, FI system control box, fan cage, then take that apart to get to the fan motor. While you're at it, think seriously about replacing that heater core with a new one. (Rinse, repeat?) Later cars: Hood and wipers can stay, don't think you'll have to dink with engine mounts... otherwise pretty much the same operation. Took me five hours to do it by the book, fan motor was $110, five years ago, this on an '86 9000T. Paul
