This works on my '91 9000: 1. Remove the 2 Torx (#20) screws on either side of the console in the footwells, and the two bolts on either side at the very back and bottom of the console (Access from the back seat). 2. From the front seat, slide the console up and forward enough to get your hand under the 'box' of switches. Push this module up from the console, and disconnect it from the wiring connector. 3. Now you've got an expensive little box in your hand! Using 2 thin, flat screwdrivers, carefully remove the top half cover. 4. With the cover off, you'll see many see-saw shaped, brass connectors with tiny round contacts. Odds are the windows to which you refer have had some arcing around those contacts. 5. Use fine sandpaper to sand all your connectors, and reassemble everything. Good Luck, John.
