I'll second this response .... although I got the switch unit out from the top by very carefully prising it out with a screwdriver ... be very careful though, it's easy to indent the surround. Once it's out and you recover from the shock of all the rockers and switches falling all over the floor and you prise two of them away from the dog and the kids .... it's fairly straightforward just to clean everything up ... and maybe reshape one of the plastic rockers if necessary.....did the trick for me.
