In my pre-saab experience, when you turn the ignition key to the on position, all the warning lights in the dash illuminate to show you that they are working Having an Australian 1991-900i my panel is set up as follows LEGEND (y)= illuminates when ignition is on (yu)= illuminates when used (n)= has never illuminated From left to right ***Left panel*** Check engine (y) Rear window demister (yu) oil pressure warning (y) batery charge (y) High beam (yu) blank ***Right panel*** Cruise control (n) Cant work out what this is. It looks like the seatbelt warning guy (n) Park Brake (yu) ABS (n)!!! Brake fluid (y) Blank Additionally, there seems to be a fuel level, and coolant temp warning light beneath their respective guages (symbols are on coloured transparent plastic). If this is so, should these self test at ignition on. Neither of these has ever illuminated but I have never been low on fuel or overheated the engine.
