Actually £278 doesn't sound too bad for a fuel pump... I was quoted £320 for one for a Sierra!! (And this *was* the correct price, too, not a delaer trying to rip me off.). As a matter of interest I've just come across a couple of JD Power surveys (one for 1998 and the other for this year). They both say that the biggest problem area on the 9000 is.... [FX: drum roll] ... electrics! So, sorry chaps but I'm not yet won over by your enthusiasm for the marque!
