Subject: Replacing a broken antenna

I've accidentally damaged the antenna on my 1999 9-3. Fortunately the cable inside is still attached, but the antenna mast is slightly bent and kinked at the bottom, so it won't go down all the way and will definitely need to be replaced. (It is the kink at the bottom that is causing the problem.) I've checked the "Broken Antenna FAQ" at http://www.saabnet.com/tsn/archive/files/faq/antenna.html, so replacement of the mast seems fairly easy. I'm just wondering about the cost of a replacement mast. Is the mast a generic GM type, or am I going to have to pay whatever my dealer charges for an "official" Saab mast? ===================== Derek Aldridge derekaldnopsam.com
