my 1990 9000 CD has 130,000 kms on it, and it is very quiet in the summer time but when the temperature started to drop this fall (40F) it began making a lot of noise ("rattley" sounds) when it starts, the noise becomes quieter as the engine warms up about 10 to 15 minutes right now, it but does not completely quiet down until the temperature gauge moves into the normal range, it does not make this noise on a warm start, the noise seems to be coming from the passenger side of the engine (front of the block, timing chain ??),I am using Castrol 10w30 oil and it was just changed, any ideas ?
