I'm pretty sure that it wouldn't be recommended, but when I had a similar problem I just used super glue. It's been holding for the last few months. I had to use it on the door molding, and also on the windshield trim. ...I guess I'm too lazy to take it to a shop to have them do a good job on it... can't tell any difference using the super glue though.
