Subject: drip, 3K summary

My 1984 900 S seems to drip from the engine, but it never loses oil, brake/clutch fluid, or water. The parking block in front of my parking space at home gets wet with an oily fluid, i.e., it doesn't go away in the rain. I have looked under the engine and only seen the usual gunky oil under the block, no drips. I'm thinking there's a very slow drip that covers the ground surface under the engine overnight. Ideas? Other than that, no complaints. I've had this Saab for about 3 months. I bought it at about 105K miles and have put on about 3K. It's in superb condition, except for a tiny amount of rust on one rear fender, barely noticeable. All I had to put into it was a new clutch, small shift linkage adjustment, a fuel relay, and two new tires (still needs a little brake work, but nothing debilitating, maybe also ball joints). It flies, and handles beautifully. The hatchback holds anything I want and with the Thule racks on top, I can carry surfboards and a mountainbike at the same time no problem... How much did I pay? $825. Why? The guy wanted to get rid of it fast, it had been sitting for a while in his yard. I think I got a deal. ;-) -jw -- john s. webster the vortext group -- writing svcs. 218 waterman st. #306c providence, rhode island 02906 email: jwebsnopsam.net ---------------------------------------------
