Yes sir. It has been a decade but I'll give it a shot: (I'm the kind of smart guy who listens to the radio in the Auto Car-Wash. I have seen more Saabs on the road with broken Antennas than any other make.) 1. Remove the spare tire lid, then unscrew the (black?)plastic flat-head screws that hold carpeting down with a 1/4 counter-clockwise turn. 2. Peel back carpet. (Don't worry, it's tougher than you think to rip. And, its only the trunk.) ---If you feel like continuing at this point , unscrew the Chrome trim ring from top of Quarter Panel. Careful 'bout which tool you use.........Oh no! My paint job!.......<sobbing lightly..so the wife can't tell> 3. Unplug the wiring connector on the motor/antenna chassis. 4. Unscrew mounting plate or bracket or antenna. 5. Pull 'er out and replace. Most antennae are the same but make sure you have a matching plug, or some electronics knowledge/tools/etc. etc. I replaced my Antenna in my '83 Turbo with..........get this............ a display unit from a Crown/Auto store that I worked at previously when I was 15. Long story, but the display was used for at least 8 years prior to installation.....and worked great 'til I sold it 2 years later. C'mon, every one of you has worked the horn/antenna/alarm display at least once at the local auto parts store.. Good luck to you. Maybe the 'ole boneyard is a better option?????
