I experienced similar symptoms with my 9000-T one time on holiday. I located a dealer who wanted to replace the Direct Ignition unit (expensive). I wasn't convinced, and suspected the solenoid valve myself. Once I got home I went to my friendly local dealer who simply adjusted the mechanical bypass valve and solved the problem.
