Is it worth the extra money purchasing the SAAB CD > > mounting cage kit? as I assumed he trailer lights connecter is that all to familiar rectangular connecter that is usualy cable tied the back rear corner just next to the rear lights. I did end up visiting the local Car Audio retailer but the cable he had was for newer models of clarion machines, as the pins were slightly larger and would not allow the connector to be fit properly. The shop phoned clarion here in Australia and confirmed that the connector cabe thle supplier had was indeed for the new model machines and not suited for previous model player combinations. We had to order the correct cable so I will not get the correct cable till tomorrow night but the replacement cable is half the price of the current model cable. The hard part will be running the cable under the carpet from the front of the car to the rear of the car. But at least the cable is available. not that the cable is cheaper than expected the money i saved can go towards the cd mounting kit. I think it would be too much trouble to make up my own bracket As the saab cd cage I have read about fits neatly into the space provided and is made out of steel. as to removing the radio in the SAAB its about the easiest thing to take out of the car. Just need to press the 2 little clip holes on either side to release the clips and then you can remove the radio/casset unit no problem. I was surprised how easy it was to remove. But since you already have that cd changer cable installed to the back of the car there will probably be no reason for you to take the radio out. Greg
