Tj It sounds like it might be time for a new or rebuilt Air Mass Meter. I know the first thing that you want to blame is the Automatic Idle Controller, but I`m almost positive you can rule that out. To be sure it`s not the AIC, the next time it is idling high just take a screw driver and rap on the side of the AIC. Sometimes they will wear a groove in themselves from operating in the same area of rpms all of the time. If rapping the AIC has no effect on the high idle then you can rule out a bad AIC.
