That's why my Saab has manual windows! But I don't think that was a choice with the 9000s. I have heard the most common cause is the switch. You have to release the clips that hold the switch in and gently clean the contacts. You will become proficient at this as it will become a routine maintenance item. There have been other posting on this topic.
