Subject: Removing air cleaner inner snorkel 95 900SE



95 900SE (V6 auto)

Any known detrimental effects of removing the snorkel inside the air cleaner
for more air flow?  (Rough air stream through the Mass Air Flow sensor?)

Or along the same lines - running the air cleaner without going through the
intake muffler in the fender? (removing the elbow) (Besides hot air from
engine when idling.)

I have done both of  the following along with a K&N filter and it seems to
have helped the car's pickup.
