Subject: A twitch when pressing the gas pedal

I have an old Saab 9000 Turbo 16, '87. Although it has quite a high mileage the engine still has its power. But, there's a small, disturbing problem. When I'm idling (or the car is...) in traffic lights with automatic transmission set to D and I'm keeping the car still with a foot on the brake. After the light changes I press the gas, normally, not trying to "hit the gas". The engine coughs like it would stop and then starts pulling normally. Just like in the moment when the throttle opens the mixture would go too poor to fire in the cylinders. After that one cough everything works really fine. Has anyone encountered something like this before? Juha
