I can't say for sure about the '95 engines, but my '86 normally aspirated engine seems to accelerate better with premium. which is good since it needs all the help it can get. My car starts with one turn of the key in the winter with premium. If you don't want or need the best performance from your engine and your starts everytime with one turn of key while using mid-grade, you can try regular. You need to look beyond the dollar/gallon and figure out how much it costs per mile. I found the mileage difference between premium and mid-grade was enough to justify the extra cost. You should try premium for a couple of tanks and compare it to mid-grade and regular. Calculate the cost per mile and see which is really more economical for you.
