What are the differences between the engines in 1999 and 2000 9/3 cars. I know that the SE has higher horsepower and that the manual cars have higher torque. What I would like to find out is are there are physical differences in the engines (e.g. larger turbo charger, different wastegate settings, etc.). I believe the difference lies somewhere in the engine management software as this would be the easiest way to modify the cars as they are rolling down the assembly line. If am right, how much does the engine management system cost in order to boost (sic) the horsepower? Thanks for any assistance!
