Subject: Recurring SRS problem



I'm experiencing a recurring SRS failure on a 1990 900 Turbo
Covertible. About a little over a year ago, the SRS light came on. I
took it to the dealer and was told it was a wire harness in the
steering wheel that needed replacement (contact reel). Fixed it and
all was fine for almost a year. Same thing happened, same problem. the
dealer was kind enough to work with Saab USA to have them fix it at no
cost. Two months later, and my SRS light is on *again*. Anyone else
experience this? There must be something causing the harness to fail
so prematurely is all I can figure. If anyone has some words of
wisdom, I'd love to hear them.
