Subject: '86 900 cabin fan regulator question

Hi all, perhaps someone could shed some light on a nagging problem that cropped up a couple of weeks ago when I (perhaps regrettably) was in a hurry and had the local gas station change the oil and filter. Ever since, the cabin fan knob on the dashboard has not been controlling airflow properly. The 1-2-3 settings work properly, but I cannot usually get air to come out of the center or under-seat vents. Air blows through the center vent intermittantly, but choosing any other setting on the knob or turning the car off causes it to cease blowing air for awhile. Most curiously, when I set the knob to "O," I can still hear air blowing somewhere in the center of the dashboard. I've heard that gas stations are notorious for knocking off vacuum hoses, but I couldn't find anything disconnected near the oil filter. On a perhaps unrelated note, the air intake vent opener/closer button is also not working at the moment. I'm trying to find out if I should continue to look for unhooked vacuum lines, physical disconnections of the dashboard ventilation pathways, focus on the fusebox, or if it's something else altogether. Thanks in Advance, --Matt
