my 85 900 has 338k miles and has never been to the shop. if you want to spend money take it to a shop but if you are not in california and not concerned about polution (non existent) then take the bulb out by removing the speaker grill on the drivers side and finding the bulb. just for reference the light is programed to come on every 30k so you will take it in to give them more money.
