Subject: RE: Gas Mileage

I've been reading poor mileage messages. My 1988 900 SPG Turbo with 150,000 miles gets up to 33 mpg on the freeway (sea level) at 70 mph with the cruise control on. My mileage deteriorates with the weight of my foot on the pedal. On an all day road trip from sea level to 6,000 foot elevation and back I averaged over 30 mpg. My mileage, throttle response, and turbo spool up, have all improve after installing a K&N air filter. So if your getting less than 20mpg, or 12mpg in one case, something's wrong.
