Besides pulling up the carpet in the trunk searching for it (on the left side of the trunk), one can pop up the plastic sill cover on the threshold of the front driver's door. With a little gentle persuasion, the entire SAAB-emblazoned sill will come off. Under it are a morass of wires, brake lines, etc leading from the front of the vehicle to the rear. The CD cable, if it's there, is a thick round multi-conductor cable, perhaps a quarter of an inch in diameter. It's unlike the usual single-conductor 12 or 14 gauge 12 volt wires in red, yellow, green and other rainbow hues. It's probably black or gray. If you see it, you know the connector is in the trunk. If not, you face a fun job of fishing a cable from the dash back to the trunk. Or do like I did and mount the Clarion CD in the glovebox. Mine fit in very nicely at the top, although I had to forgo the glovebox courtesy light.
