Yeah, That stupid shift-up light is definitely not in keeping with the SAAB philosophy of yore. Cheer up, the word is that the Saab designers and engineers now have no compunctions about telling their GM tormentors to back off. It seems they let a few minor things slip through just to compromise...but hold the line on the essentials. Thus, when GM wanted an SUV...they dug in their heels. No SUV...but that 9-5 Wagon is pretty cool, IMHO. GM would be nuts to change Saab. It would become yet another bland "brand" devoid of the inherent value for which it was bought in the first place.
