With all due respect, cooler air is denser and normally improves performance, but there is a point of diminishing returns. I am not just talking about cooler air. I am talking about subzero temperatures. I drove in Greenland for a year, and I can promise you the gas mileage was not helped by temperatures 30 and 40 degrees below zero. Even temperatures below 32 degrees farenheit can have a negative effect. When the weather warms up and the reformulated gas is gone, the mileage will improve.
