Robert- The Clarion CDC 635 interfaces with the head unit of the '96 9000 CSE. The car is pre-wired, just retrieve the cable and DIN plug end from the left rear cargo area, behind the inner liner. Reach in through the tail light assembly access hatch. You'll also need to disconnect the DIN plug for the single disk player at the head unit, and attach the plug for the changer which is bundled with wiring behind the radio. I installed one in my '96 9000 CSE a couple of years ago, and have had no problems. BTW, the 12 disk Clarion CDC1235 is not compatible with the Saab head unit, according to the Clarion cross reference sheet which I saw at the audio dealer.
