I had a similar experience at a Pep Boys in Michigan. I went in to get a set of shocks for a 4wd 1993 Suburban, and the 'counter troll' punched something in wrong and gave me some shocks with the incorrect mounts/size. After scratching my head for an hour, I put the old shocks back on and headed back to pep boys, and do you know Wayne the jack-ass-manager did not want to give me an exchange, because I did not have my receipt, mind you I had just bought the damn things, with a pep boys credit card 90 minutes earlier!! after a 5 minute discussion about his lack of foresight, I returned home to get the receipt (which he did not look at) returned them, and bought my shocks at Murray's discount auto parts. I cut up my PB credit card and left a note on their website, no reply. Lesson learned, one jack-ass-employee can make your entire company look stupid SLP
