I have a strange steering noise on my Saab 9000 CSE 2.3 Eco Power (UK Spec), Sept 96, 50000 miles. The noise only appears at full lock and sounds like a pressure relief valve blowing off. Symptoms. Car Cold - no noise on full lock Car warm - noise on full lock. when steering has been working hard, noise is present in any position when rack is required to 'work' , the noise will then disappear when the system has a period of light load (except at full lock). I have had the main bearing in the pump changed and oil flow plate changed. Could it be wrong type of fluid, contaminated fluid, relief valve, pipe problem, rack problem or viscous damper on the crankshaft. Anyone else experience this problem? TIA Brian
