As cars no longer use points these latter parts seem to get forgotten. Check all the wiring to the coil and ignition amplifier, make sure they are clean and dry. THe Bosch sytle connections on the ignition / fuel injection do corrode after a while as the seals are effected buy the thermal cycling under the bonnet (hood) One trick to try is to wait till the car is cold and then when it's dark get somebody to fire the engine up while you look under the bonnet.
