On Sun, 20 Feb 2000 16:24:17 +0000, just as I was about to see how much duct tape you REALLY need to stop a gerbil from exploding, Paul Hutchings <paul.hutchingsnopsam.co.uk> distracted me by babbling thusly: >I have a 4 year old Saab 900i, I'm not having any problems with it,but >I wondered if it's worth using anything like Redex in the fuel tank >every now and then ? Well, I've used it in every single car I've ever had. Yes, I have noticed definite improvements in the older ones, doubt very much that it will be of much use on a low-miler. The main benefit was getting the gum and crap out of the valves and rings. I suppose one argument is to use it anyway, to prevent build-up. I admit I do throw the odd can into my 1990 900T. It certainly won't do any damage. -- Our OS who art in CPU, UNIX be thy name.
