You might have a difficult time with any warranty claims if you did not have the service done and DOCUMENTED by a Saab authorized shop or dealer. You could change the oil yourself if you bought one oil filter and the 4 or 5 quarts of oil and SAVED the DATED receipts as possible proof that the oil was changed on schedule. It would be harder to prove that you did all of the other items described in the 10,000 mile check up.
