For the first few years, I'd expect a main dealer service history. otherwise a prospective purchaser is relying on your word that you did the right things at the right time. There's also processing recalls and faults; I haven't any experience with Saabs for that, but the Volvo I had from new had several things changed at services (e.g. the steering column) without me having to learn about them. (For the UK) Grimace and pay up. It'll pay back when you sell it. P.
