Subject: Obnoxious Belt Screeching

Ever since I washed the engine in my '90 900S, I've been getting a loud screeching sound that sounds like a slipping belt. It only happens when it is just started and went away after driving for a few seconds. It would only screech when I engaged the clutch in 1st or 2nd gear, but if I let go of the gas or pressed in the clutch, it would stop. Recently, during a rain storm, the screeching would come back briefly anytime I downshifted into 3rd or 2nd gear. I've seen this kind of question with the same criteria (washed engine, now screeching belts) posted here before with no response, so I was wondering if anyone knew how to figure out which belt is screeching, and how to fix it. Thanks in advance, Ilia
