Subject: ticking noise



For about seven months now, I have been noticing a fast
"ticking" noise with my 97 Saab 900 SE Turbo. The noise
seems to be emanating from the left side of the dash (i.e. behind
or to the left of the instrumentation panel). It only occurs during
acceleration and only at about 3000-3500 RPMs. Initially, when I
first started getting this, the ticking was quite audible. It is less
audible now, but still very annoying.

Has anybody had this problem? Any ideas on what this might be
or how to fix it?
