Robert, Thanks for the reply and the good analysis. I've come to believe that the inside diameter of that sleeve is too small...possibly the wrong one, as the o-rings in that kit were wrong as well. I am just going to cut away the front of that plastic sleeve. Another maven has assured me that it isn't really necessary... overengineering of the Saab sort, he thinks. I believe I goth the plate in with no scratches, as I dcontived a method to allow the plate/pressure plate assy to go in with the pins in the "wrong" realtion to the pressure plate disk. I then blocked, and rotated by force, the pressure plate until the pin holes aligned. I then removed the blocks. What a stupid design...not from teh designer's point of veiw, but from the user's. I'm sure the chap thought himself quite clever :-) I really am amazed that they were able to pack it all in in a highly non-conventional manner. Thanks again. Let me know please, if it seems a bad idea to cua away the front end of that sleeve. Cheers/Carron
